The educational and research activities of the School have been separated into the following three (3) divisions, each with its corresponding laboratories:
Division of Mining Engineering
Subject of the Mining Engineering department is teaching of all these courses related to exploitation of ores, mining engineering and the construction of geo-engineering works, as well as conducting research pertaining to these topics.

Division of Metallurgy and Materials Technology
Subject of the Metallurgical and Materials Technology department is teaching of all these courses related to processing of ores and industrial minerals, to metallurgical and materials production, to metals and non-metal materials processing, and the environmental protection from all these activities as well as conducting research pertaining to these topics.

Subject of the Geological Sciences department is teaching of all these courses related to geological, ore geology, petrological, geochemical, mineralogical, hydrogeological, geotechnical and geoengineering topics, as well as conducting research pertaining to these
topics.
