Petroleum Engineering

This courses introduces students to hydrocarbon reservoir engineering by demonstrating the nature and principles which govern fluids flow in subsurface reservoirs. It provides tools and methods to evaluate the size and value of a reservoir as well as the way it is expected to respond to production. Moreover, tools to identify and optimize primary, secondary and tertiary production are also discussed.

Discussions in the class, solution of demonstrative examples and the presentation of related topics by the students are parts of the learning process.
